We are excited to share that Vincent Zimmer, co-founder of Kiron Open Higher Education, a blended learning platform for refugees, has agreed to be a keynote speaker at the Open edX conference at Carlos III University in Madrid, Spain, on May 24 & 25.

Vincent has wide experience in online education. He co-founded Kiron Open Higher Education in 2015, opening quality education to refugees around the world. In addition, he has co-founded several start-ups and has two master degrees, one in “International Economics” from Georg August University, Göttingen, Germany, and the other in “Public Policy and Administration” from the London School of Economics, UK. We are excited about Vincent sharing his experience and knowledge using the Open edX platform as tool to implement positive social change in the world.

Our call for proposals is also open until March 1. We are seeking talk and tutorial proposals on the topics of innovative courses, course authoring, production and promotion, analytics and research, deployment and technical deep dives, extension and integration of the platform and online learning and training.
