Join the next Open edX Community event to hear about exciting updates regarding the state of the Open edX project from our Engineering Director, Ed Zarecor. Ed will provide insight on the future direction of the Open edX platform and address any questions you may have in a fun and engaging virtual forum.
You will also hear from edTech experts and their effective uses of the Open edX platform. The event will feature former CEO of Polarstern Education and Co-Founder of academa.de, Patrick Neubert. Patrick recently founded a new venture called academa.de, which runs on the Open edX platform, and will elaborate on how he leveraged the Open edX software to start this innovative start-up venture.
The second speaker of the event, Juan Camilo Montoya, Co-Founder of eduNEXT, will deep dive into the landscape of online learning technologies and the alternatives that an individual/organization faces when choosing an appropriate technology to build on. Juan will demonstrate a detailed comparison between the Open edX platform and some of the alternative learning solutions to highlight areas in which the Open edX platform excels, as well as areas of opportunity.
In addition to these talks we will have plenty of unstructured time for networking opportunities and birds of a feather sessions. The virtual forum link to Gather will be sent to you via email, upon registration to this FREE event. The link will be published a few days prior to the event date of September 17th, 2021.
The Open edX Community event will not only benefit the existing community members, it will also provide tremendous insight to attendees, who do not have an in depth technical or functional knowledge of the Open edX platform, but rather a desire to evaluate whether to use the Open edX platform for their own projects and help them place the Open edX project on the map of available e-learning technologies.
It is important to note that edX seeks to foster an open and welcoming environment in this event. All participants are expected to follow the Open edX Code of Conduct.
The event has limited capacity, so register today to secure your seat! Looking forward to seeing you all virtually!
