German UDS is a fully accredited, online-only university that stood up its entire learning environment on the Open edX platform with a small founding team and no large in-house technical staff. Working with Abstract-Technology, a leading European Open edX partner, German UDS moved from concept to live courses in roughly two to three months. The implementation includes integrations with Microsoft 365, a campus management system, plagiarism detection, proctoring, and course catalog APIs for European MOOC aggregators. With over 2,000 registered users and micro-credentials already live, German UDS is now launching its Master’s and MBA programs—a clear demonstration of what the platform’s partner ecosystem enables for institutions that need to move quickly without sacrificing academic rigor.
