We’ve been working hard to find the absolute best location for this year’s Open edX conference hackathon, and we’re really happy to announce this year it will be held at CIC Boston, a co-working and conference space centrally located in downtown Boston. CIC Boston provides state-of-the-art facilities for technical and collaborative events and we’re thrilled to use this space to enable the Open edX community to come together and build something great! The location is convenient to all commuter rail and subway lines, making it easily accessible for visitors and local residents alike.
Below is our tentative agenda:
Wednesday, October 14th
8am – 9am: Breakfast and registration (17th floor, Milky Way conference room)
9am – 10am: Opening remarks, presentation of projects (17th floor, Milky Way conference room)
10am – 6pm: Hacking time! (5th floor conference area)
6pm: Drinks and dinner around downtown Boston (details TBA)
Thursday, October 15th
8am – 9am: Breakfast (but don’t let that stop you from hacking!)
9am – 3pm: More hacking time! Don’t forget to set aside time to plan your presentation
3pm – 5pm: Presentations – tell the community about the cool stuff you’ve done!
As an update, the conference discount rate for the Babson Executive Conference center has been extended to September 4th. The conferece is being held over a popular fall weekend in New England, so make your reservations as soon as possible!
Since space is limited, the conference hackathon will only be open to conference attendees, so don’t forget to register for the conference and add your ideas to the hackathon ideas page!
