A dedicated supporter of Open edX, Proversity’s implementation of the Open edX source code reaches learners through diverse education initiatives, helping university graduates and professionals alike develop the skills necessary to be successful in competitive markets.

EdX Vice President of Product, Beth Porter, said, “Proversity has been a champion of the Open edX mission since the outset of the project. We are excited to share news of their success. This announcement highlights how organizations like Proversity, who are developing online learning solutions that use the Open edX platform, can achieve success while giving back to the Open edX community – thereby helping edX students around the world.”

Proversity launched its East Coast base of operations this June to increase its focus on addressing the skill gaps in the U.S. “Boston’s unique intersection of tech and academia is unlike any other place in the world and has enabled us to create an environment to support and build great technology that is changing lives around the world,” said Krishan Meetoo, Proversity Co-Founder & CDO.

Proversity recently expanded to launch a new office in Cape Town, which includes a state-of-the-art technology and content production facility. The Proversity team will celebrate the occasion at the South African Embassy in London, at a technology event hosted by the Deputy High Commissioner of South Africa.

“The Deputy High Commissioner of South Africa has been kind enough to host this signing and give us an opportunity to thank the edX Team, Wayra Unltd and Google Campus. A special thanks is also going out to the Duke of York for his support through the Pitch at the Palace initiative,” said Carl Dawson, Proversity CEO.

From everyone at Open edX, we offer our congratulations to the team at Proversity!
