EdX Release on 13 July 2016

July 13, 2016 | By

EdX has just released the newest version of the edX platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following updates.

  • In the LMS, the Progress page now includes a message for learners who are auditing a course to clarify that the audit track is not certificate-bearing.

  • In course discussions, an error that caused responses to remain marked as correct even after a response was unmarked has been corrected.

  • In Studio, an edit check has been added to the advanced editor for text input problems. These problems are now checked for an answer attribute value.
  • A topic that describes how to use the XBlock URL to render an XBlock in HTML without the user interface of the LMS is now available. For more information, see Rendering XBlocks with the XBlock URL in the Open edX Developer’s Guide.

For more information about the changes in this release, see the edX Release Notes. You can access the weekly release notes, as well as all of the edX documentation, at docs.edx.org.
