December 16, 2015 | By

EdX has just released the newest version of the edX Platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following changes.

  • Data packages prepared for partner institutions now include the SQL tables that store open response assessment data. For more information, see Open Response Assessment Data in the EdX Research Guide.
  • Changes to the Analytics data exporter have been made to improve the quality of the SQL table data that partner institutions receive. These changes include omitting trailing zeros in timestamp fields, and escaping tabs, newlines, carriage returns, and backslash characters.
  • The Tools menu in Studio no longer offers the Checklists option. For a checklist template, see Course Launching Activities in Building and Running an edX Course or Course Launching Activities in Building and Running an Open edX Course.

For more information about other changes in this release, see the edX Release Notes. You can access the weekly release notes, as well as all of the edX documentation, at docs.edx.org.
