March 16, 2016 | By

EdX has just released the newest version of the edX platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following updates and enhancements.

  • A new report for ORA assignments is now available. This report includes learner responses to an ORA assignment, assessment details and scores, and any feedback provided by the learner. For more information, see Generate a Report for ORA Assignments in the Building and Running an edX Course guide, or Generate a Report for ORA Assignments in the Building and Running an Open edX Course guide.
  • Installations running the latest version of Open edX can now enable the CourseTalk widget for the courses on their sites. The CourseTalk widget allows learners to post course ratings and reviews on the course’s About page.
  • The crowdsource hinter XModule is no longer available as a course tool. This XModule was available only as a prototype, and has not been used since July 2013.

For more information about other changes in this release, see the edX Release Notes. You can access the weekly release notes, as well as all of the edX documentation, at docs.edx.org.
