EdX has just released the newest version of the edX platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following updates and enhancements.

  • A new version of the edX apps for iOS and Android smartphones is now available. This version adds the ability for learners to participate in course discussions in the mobile app, and adds the course search feature.
  • The learner dashboard now offers two pages. The default Courses page lists all of the courses that a learner is enrolled in. The new Programs page lists the programs that a learner is enrolled in, with a progress indicator for each program.
  • New columns for the city and country values that can be supplied by learners during account registration have been added to the student profile report.
