February 24, 2016 | By

EdX has just released the newest version of the edX platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following updates and enhancements.

  • Open edX platform users can now configure the number of days before OAuth tokens expire. For more information, see Configure OAuth Token Expiration in the Installing, Configuring, and Running the Open edX Platform guide.
  • The randomize component, a little-used and provisionally supported tool, is now deprecated. Course teams can continue to use content libraries to create randomized content blocks in their courses.

For more information about other changes in this release, see the edX Release Notes. You can access the weekly release notes, as well as all of the edX documentation, at docs.edx.org.
