August 4, 2015 | By

EdX has just released the newest version of the edX Platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following changes.

  • Links to courses that are not yet live now direct to learner dashboards. Previously, learners would receive a “Page not found” error message.

  • EdX has fixed several bugs in Studio and the LMS, including the following problems.

    • When a user deleted a unit in Studio, the unit remained in the LMS until the user re-published the subsection.

    • Users received a “Page not found” error message when they selected View Live after adding a textbook in Studio.

    • Some mobile beta testers could not access courseware.

    • Grade cutoffs were listed in the wrong order on the Instructor Dashboard.

  • EdX has updated several sections of Building and Running an edX Course, including Working with Problem Components, Randomized Content Blocks, and View Your Live Course. For more information, see the change log.

For a list of the changes in this and previous releases, see the edX Release Notes.

You can access the weekly release notes as well as all other edX documentation at docs.edx.org.
