October 4, 2016 | By

EdX has just released the newest version of the edX platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following updates.

  • In the core CAPA problem types, the open learning XML (OLX) and elements can now include HTML tags for formatting text.

  • In the survey tool, available response options are now correctly associated with their respective text labels and with the survey question. Additionally, non-visual learners are now informed when their survey response has been accepted.

  • For learners in edx.org courses, the Help links in the LMS now opens the EdX Learner’s Guide to related topics.

  • Open edX installations now configure identity providers for third party authentication individually for each site in the installation.

For information about these and other changes in this release, see the edX Release Notes. You can access the weekly release notes, as well as all of the edX documentation, at docs.edx.org.
