EdX Release on 7 June 2016

June 7, 2016 | By

EdX has just released the newest version of the edX platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following updates.

  • Options for sending bulk email messages from the LMS have changed. Course teams can now select one or more of these recipient groups: Myself, Staff and Administrators, and All Learners. When you send an email message to more than one group, duplicate recipients are filtered out, so that recipients who are in more than one group do not receive multiple copies of the same email message.
  • Several analytics events were added for course navigation actions in the LMS. For more information, see Course Navigation Events in the EdX Research Guide.

For more information about other changes in this release, see the edX Release Notes. You can access the weekly release notes, as well as all of the edX documentation, at docs.edx.org.
