EdX Release on 8 July 2015

July 8, 2015 | By

EdX has just released the newest version of the edX Platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following changes.

  • You can now include two new types of components in your courses: polls and surveys. Information about these new components has been added to the partner and open edX guides for course teams.

  • Courses that include any ORA 1 assessments, which were deprecated in May 2014, now present a warning message when opened in Studio. When these courses are viewed in the LMS, the ORA 1 assessments no longer appear as part of the courseware.

  • To improve accessibility of the edx.org sign in and registration page, instructions that provide additional context for screen reader users are now included.

For a list of the changes in this and previous releases, see the edX Release Notes.

You can access the weekly release notes as well as all other edX documentation at docs.edx.org.
