EdX has just released the newest version of the edX Platform on edx.org and edX Edge.

This release includes the following changes.

  • An automated spell checker is now available when you add an HTML component to a unit in edX Studio.

  • Courses that run on edx.org can now include 5-10 second long pre-roll video messages. For more information, see Adding a Pre-Roll Video to Your edX Course in Building and Running an edX Course.

  • Course teams for invitation-only courses can now track enrollment status from the Instructor Dashboard. A downloadable report lists learners who have been invited to enroll in a course, but who have not yet done so. For more information, see Report Learners Not Yet Enrolled in Building and Running an edX Course.

  • The docs.edx.org web site now includes guides for the latest version of Open edX, in addition to guides for the Open edX Birch release.

For a list of the changes in this and previous releases, see the edX Release Notes.

You can access the weekly release notes as well as all other edX documentation at docs.edx.org.
