EdX has just released the newest version of the edX Platform on edx.org and edX Edge.
This release includes the following changes.
- Course teams now use the new Cohorts tab on the Instructor Dashboard to manage their student cohorts. Instead of defining some settings in Studio and some in the LMS, you now complete all cohort management tasks on the Cohorts tab. For more information, see the Including Student Cohorts chapter in the Building and Running an edX Course guide.
- Students can now use the edX mobile app to find and enroll in courses. Visitors who are new to edX can also use the app to register edX user accounts. These features are available now in the edX mobile app for Android smartphones, and will be available soon for iPhones. For more information, see The edX Mobile App in the edX Guide for Students.
